Sielnica

The family ski resort Sielnica – Brestová is situated above the village of Sielnica, in the Zvolen District, just a few kilometers from the district town. Skiing here takes place in the beautiful mountain environment of the Kremnické vrchy mountains without artificial snowmaking. Four ski lifts and slopes of varying difficulty are available to winter sports enthusiasts. Families with children, beginner skiers, as well as experienced athletes will all find something to enjoy here. The adjacent areas are even favorable for cross-country skiing enthusiasts.

The ski resort is situated at an altitude of 961 m above sea level and features a total slope length of 1.43 km. Three of the four lifts are located in the upper part of Sielnická Poľana. They service two easy slopes suitable for less experienced skiers and one intermediate slope. In the lower part of the resort, skier transport is provided by a fourth, older T-bar ski lift. The challenging slope adjacent to it is suitable for experienced athletes.

The slopes are groomed and rely exclusively on the favorable snow conditions of the mountain area. The ski resort is easily accessible by car from the village of Sielnica. The access road is maintained, but since this is a mountain environment, we recommend packing snow chains along with your ski equipment. Parking is provided directly at the lifts. The ski resort is a very good choice for lovers of smaller family ski areas surrounded by beautiful nature. Shorter but very attractive trails for cross-country skiers are usually prepared around the slopes.

After a great day of skiing, we recommend water relaxation in the nearby Holidaypark Kováčová. Here you can unwind and gather new strength for another day on the slopes or for visiting attractions in the immediate vicinity. In the village of Hronsek, you can take a look at the wooden articular church, the beautiful Baroque manor house, and the oldest local building, the Renaissance manor house, Vodný hrad. Will you accept our invitation for a skiing trip combined with an experiential stay? Search for accommodation near the Sielnica – Brestová resort on our portal and begin your preparations. Accommodation in Sielnica and adjacent villages includes primarily popular cottages, but you will also find pleasant guesthouses or modern apartments here. All you have to do is choose.
