Termálne kúpalisko Veľký Meder Thermal Corvinus

Veľký Meder

The scorching sun is burning, and in the unbearable heat, not even a leaf on a tree branch moves. You are wondering how to endure it. An idea flashes through your mind. Head to the water! But where? 9 pools, 5 water slides, and all of this in the beautiful greenery of a vast forest park. That is Thermalpark Veľký Meder.

Where can you find all this? Just 68 kilometers from Bratislava and a short distance from the Hungarian border lies the small town of Veľký Meder with a long spa history. Thermal springs were already here almost 1000 years ago. They are fully at your disposal to this day.

You can experience the beneficial effects of the thermal water in the indoor or outdoor part of the complex. The indoor section has 6 pools, with water temperatures ranging from 30 °C to 37 °C. The dominant feature of the indoor area is the swimming pool with an irregular shape. It is suitable not only for swimming but also for pleasant relaxation. Inside it, there is a pearl bath that will take perfect care of ensuring you are completely relaxed and indulging in the bubbles. The little ones have not been forgotten either. Children have their own circular children's pool where they definitely won't get bored with their friends. Water jets or a slide will captivate every little swimmer. This complex also includes a semi-covered seating pool. It has the warmest water of all the pools, and one-third of it is covered. You can fully enjoy the effects of the warm thermal water here. In winter, you can enjoy the unique feeling of admiring the frosty world around you from the pleasantly warm water. You will also relax in the hydromassage pool with water jets and waterfalls. The whole family will have fun in the unique family pool. A complete water playground awaits you and your family here. Water cannons, slides, waterfalls, or an unexpected surprise in the form of a 500-liter bucket of water that ends up on your head – you will experience that only here. Fans of water slides will also enjoy themselves. In the indoor section, there are 2 modern water slides with light effects, each of them nearly 70 meters long. Riding them is truly not only a feast for the eyes but also a great experience.

In the outdoor part, you will find 3 pools, with temperatures ranging from 25 °C to 30 °C. You can have a good swim in the 50-meter-long swimming pool. The Italian pool is used for pleasant relaxation, and one part of it serves as a landing area for water slides. Children can frolic in their own pool, and a children's snake slide is also available to them here. In addition to this children's slide, there are 2 more outside. Kamikaze will please speed enthusiasts, and Spiro, at nearly 100 meters in length, is the longest in the entire park.

In addition to the pools and slides, you can also use the local wellness center. You can choose from various types of saunas: infrared, steam, herbal, or Finnish. You will find out for yourself which one is ideal for you. You can also try magnetotherapy, light therapy, thermotherapy, acupressure, or massages. You will also relax in the salt mine, visit a beauty salon, or exercise in aqua aerobics. In case you get hungry or thirsty, you never have to go far. Outdoor buffets, restaurants, a café, and a bar near the pools will prepare everything you are currently craving. Your little ones will also spend long moments at the Hrad orliaka morského (White-tailed Eagle Castle) playground. They will find swings, a sandbox, climbing frames, a labyrinth, and even a small climbing wall there. The second playground has similar equipment, but it boasts the name Korytnačí hrad (Turtle Castle). If you want to prepare an interesting program for your children and want to spend time swimming yourself, make use of Ostrov drobčekov (Tiny Tots Island). Experienced animators will take care of your children and entertain them while you have fun in your own way.

Are you looking for accommodation in the area? You have a choice of many cozy guest houses or apartments. Many of them are new or renovated and offer high comfort of services provided. Moreover, everything at very favorable prices.

Thermal waters were once used only by nobles and kings. Treat yourself to a royal feeling available to everyone. Whether you are alone, with a partner, friends, or the whole family, a trip to the Thermalpark Veľký Meder will be a pleasantly spent day. Regardless of the season or the weather, nothing will disturb you or deprive you of the perfect enjoyment of the water.

Slnečné jazerá Senec

Slnečné jazerá Senec

Senec

Slnečné jazerá (Sun Lakes) or Senecké jazerá are among the most visited recreation centers in Slovakia. We can find them in the town of Senec. Every year, this location is visited by many families with children, young active holidaymakers, and seniors. The advantage is the low entrance fee, the option to purchase a seasonal pass, and a number of attractions in the area. Slnečné jazerá in Senec are also popular among fishermen, who can pursue their hobby here without any worries.

The lakes were artificially created in 1845, when five separate lakes were formed after gravel dredging. These later merged into one water area with an area of 120 hectares and a depth of up to 12 meters. Since 1919, the place began to be used as a natural swimming area. At that time, it was also known by the name Slovenské Tahiti (Slovak Tahiti).

Today, the resort is divided into three zones - northern, southern, and eastern. The northern side is especially suitable for families with children, as there is an Aquathermal Senec water park with water attractions and a playground for children. However, you will find various attractions for active holidaymakers in every part. You will appreciate the beach volleyball courts, football fields, and tennis courts.

Water sports are a matter of course here. You can practice Zumba and yoga, or explore the surroundings faster on scooters, which you can rent. During the summer, various musical events held directly on the premises are also very popular.

You don't have to go far for other points of interest. Visit Včelársky skanzen (Beekeeping Open-air Museum), Oáza sibírskeho tigra (Siberian Tiger Oasis) in Kostolná pri Dunaji, enjoy adventure flights from Kráľová pri Senci, or an adrenaline rafting trip on the Malý Dunaj river. Book your accommodation at Slnečné jazerá Senec and plan a holiday packed with experiences!

The swimming pool opens its gates to visitors every year from mid-June to the end of August. Not only water sports enthusiasts feel fantastic in its premises. Swimmers can stretch their bodies in the large swimming pool measuring 50 x 25 m with a maximum water depth of 2.5 m. The middle pool is primarily for non-swimmers and visitors longing for rest. This pool is 50 x 25 m in size, and its depth is 1 m. Mothers, in particular, visit the children's circular pool with a depth of 0.4 m with their little ones. The water temperature in the pools ranges from 25 °C to 31 °C.

Older children have a great time on the large 50 m long triple slide, which clearly belongs to the biggest attractions of the swimming pool. It includes a landing pool. The main season is in the spirit of fun, and therefore a rich accompanying animation program has been created here. So, will you dare to exercise Zumba or another sport in the water?

You can send your children to the playground, where they can romp on climbing frames, swings, or by playing in the sandbox. A beach volleyball court is also available here. You can laze around on the manicured grass area, or rent a sun lounger and sunbathe directly on it. You can also sweat it out in the sauna. Perhaps feelings of hunger will come to you after these activities. The problem can be solved by visiting a snack bar, where "poolside" fast food will fill you up and chilled drinks will refresh you. Changing rooms and sanitary facilities are also part of the complex.

To enjoy the beauty of sunny days to the fullest, you do not have to head home immediately. In the capital city, you will find many more options for spending your free time. Runners choose the Areál orientačného behu pre verejnosť as their destination. Thanks to a map and a compass, you will be searching for control points in nature here, and besides this fun, you will enjoy a great sports experience. Less demanding is a walk along the marked trails of the Národná prírodná rezervácia Devínska Kobyla nature reserve. You can take your children for a ride on the artificial toboggan run or treat them to other attractions at KidsHouse. You can watch beautiful animals at the Zoologická záhrada Bratislava. Zlaté piesky

Zlaté piesky

Bratislava

The Zlaté piesky lake is a very popular natural swimming area in the Ružinov borough of Bratislava. It is a pleasant, peaceful, and quiet location that is becoming increasingly sought-after, precisely because of this natural swimming site. In the middle of the lake, a wooded islet attracts people's attention.

The water surface is suitable for swimming for both adults and children. The width of the lake is approximately 400 m, with a maximum depth of 30 m. The water is exceptionally clean, with no aquatic plants. Vacationers will appreciate the sandy beach on the shore, where it is possible to rent sun loungers, parasols, or equipment for various sports activities on the shore and in the water. Dining options are a matter of course.

Active holidaymakers can play tennis, volleyball, minigolf, or streetball. There are courts for all these sports. Have you tried wakeboarding yet? Did you know that on July 28, 1976, an airplane crashed at Zlaté piesky? It was a flight between Prague and Bratislava, and this huge tragedy claimed 76 lives. The regime of the time tried to cover up the accident. Very little visual material was preserved, as members of the Verejná bezpečnosť (Public Security) confiscated camera films from the vacationers who were at the lake at that time. This exceptionally tragic event is described very realistically in the book "Katastrofa letu 001 na Zlatých pieskoch" (The Disaster of Flight 001 at Zlaté piesky).

Summer at Zlaté piesky is carried on waves of fun and vibrant energy. This is thanks to various events, whether cultural or musical. Uprising Reggae Festival and MTV Disco TV are certainly among the most popular.

Experience the unique atmosphere of Zlaté piesky for yourself. To visit all the interesting attractions of the city of Bratislava, we recommend that you book accommodation near Zlaté piesky for a few days.
