Vodná nádrž Kráľová is located on the border of the Trnava and Nitra regions between the towns of Sereď and Šaľa. This reservoir lies on the Váh River, and like other Váh reservoirs, it was built to regulate water in the longest Slovak river. Vodné dielo Kráľová is also called the Kaskády water reservoir.
