Thermál Nesvady
Termálne kúpalisko Thermál Nesvady is a modern, year-round complex that utilizes the natural wealth springing from a depth of over 1,500 meters.
The facility is located in the town of Nesvady, in the Komárno district in southwestern Slovakia. The main attraction of the thermal park is its unique geothermal water with a spring temperature of 62 °C, which is moderately mineralized and, thanks to its composition (containing sodium, bicarbonates, and fluorides), has beneficial effects on the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, and skin. The area has undergone modernization in recent years and today features year-round pools with various water temperatures. Visitors will find a calmer atmosphere here compared to large aquaparks, which contributes to overall bodily regeneration and stress relief. The complex also includes spacious grassy areas for sunbathing, pool terraces with sun loungers, and dining facilities.
What can you find here?
Within the complex, you will find a year-round relaxation and experiential geothermal pool with massage jets and water spouts, as well as a hot sitting pool with temperatures up to 39 °C. During the summer season, the offering expands to include a recreational non-swimming pool and a children's pool with a water hedgehog for the little ones. An inflatable water attraction called Pirátske pobrežie and a classic children's playground are also prepared for children. Services include massages, a restaurant offering a daily lunch menu, and fast-food snack bars.
Who is the place suitable for?
The venue is ideal for seniors and individuals seeking relief from musculoskeletal issues, who will appreciate the quality and temperature of the local water. It is also sought after by families with children, especially during the summer, thanks to safe children's pools and animation programs. Given its peaceful character, the thermal park is suitable for athletes for post-workout muscle recovery and for everyone who prefers a well-maintained and clean environment for full-day relaxation.
What can you visit in the surroundings?
In the immediate vicinity, you can find Kalvária Nesvady and local wineries, such as Bal&La winery. If you are looking for cultural activities, you can visit Slovenská ústredná hvezdáreň (Slovak Central Observatory) and Múzeum Mikuláša Thege-Konkolyho in nearby Hurbanovo. Also worth a visit is Lodný mlyn v Kolárove, which is the only floating technical monument of its kind in Slovakia, or the historical center of Komárno with its unique Nádvorie Európy and fortress.
