If you like art, do not hesitate to visit Galéria Michalský dvor, located in the basement premises of the former Jesenákov palác in Bratislava. The origins of the building date back to the 15th century. The wonderful ancient vaults and brick walls give this place an inimitable atmosphere. An interesting fact is that a cannonball from the time of the Turkish siege is embedded in the building's facade.

The gallery saw the light of day on December 8, 1995, and since its establishment, more than 240 profile exhibitions have taken place here. Domestic as well as foreign artists from the Czech Republic, Germany, the USA, Canada, and Ukraine present their work in its spaces. Over time, the gallery has also become a venue for book launches, music album releases, press conferences, and various social events. Over 24 years, it has become an integral part of the cultural life of Bratislava residents and visitors who have visited our capital city.

In addition to young emerging artists, well-known artists such as Jan Saudek, Adolf Born, Cvetelin Cvetanov, Fero Lipták, and others have presented their works here. In the art shop, which you can find right inside the gallery, you have a unique opportunity to purchase original works of contemporary art. In the immediate vicinity of the gallery is the famous Čajovňa Michalský dvor, whose stylishly furnished premises are the work of the artist Fero Lipták. And if you are lucky, you might even meet one of the artists here.
