Jasenská dolina consists of two ski resorts. First, you will come across the Kašová resort, located right at the entrance of the valley. Here you will find a large-capacity parking lot where you can leave your car and head out for winter fun. The resort is located approximately 2.5 km from the village of Belá – Dulice, but a well-maintained road leads here.

What does Kašová offer? Snack bars, ski schools, rental shop, up to 7 km of cross-country skiing trails, and high-quality service. In short, everything you will need during your skiing trip. And now onto the main thing, the slopes. These are predominantly blue, which means the least demanding. There are only two sections where the slope is steeper. It is an ideal terrain for families with children and inexperienced skiers. Transport is handled by 6 ski lifts and 1 four-seater chairlift, so you can forget about long queues. The chairlift in particular has contributed to improving the skiing quality, and with a length of almost 650 meters, it is the resort's longest transport facility. The longest slope in this section is exactly 800 meters long. The entire resort is equipped with artificial snowmaking and is even fully illuminated. You will spend time on skis not only during the days, but during the evenings as well.

If you are a more demanding skier and the slopes of Kašová are not steep enough, continue along Jasenská dolina for about one more kilometer. This is where the Lehota resort is located. However, check in advance whether it is open, as there is only one 700-meter-long lift here and the resort does not have artificial snowmaking. You must therefore rely solely on natural snow. In favorable conditions, medium-difficulty slopes await you, the longest of which reaches up to 1,100 meters. This will be appreciated by more experienced skiers as well.

Between the two resorts, Lehota and Kašová, there are beautiful trails for cross-country skiers. Furthermore, the surrounding nature of Veľká Fatra directly invites you to explore it. Borišov and Ploská are popular tourist attractions throughout the year. In winter, you can try them with ski touring skis or snowshoes, for example. In Jasenská dolina, you will discover the magic of winter hiking.

Right in Jasenská dolina, there are simple cottages and guesthouses tailor-made for skiers. You will be close to the slope, enjoy a warm grog in the evening, and make many new friends. Some may prefer accommodation right in the village; in that case, additional accommodation options are available in Belá – Dulice. Regardless of whether you decide to visit Jasenská dolina for just a day or longer, you will enjoy its slopes like royalty.

Some ski resorts are located in rather unconventional places. You might not expect that you could go for quality and affordable skiing to the Horná Nitra region, in the vicinity of the town of Prievidza. Right here lies the small village of Kľačno. You will find it north of Prievidza, a few kilometers below the boundary of the Národný park Malá Fatra. The slopes are just a short distance from the village, which is only 500 meters away. You will find the parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the ski lifts, so you do not have to worry about a long walk to the slope.

The Ski Kľačno ski resort is situated at an altitude of 450 – 650 meters above sea level. That is not much, but there is still plenty of snow here for more than two months. The guarantee of snow is the northern orientation of the slopes. Interestingly, the resort does not have an artificial snowmaking system. It is thus suitable for those who want to try skiing on guaranteed natural snow.

There are two ski lifts at Ski Kľačno. The first one, shorter with a length of 300 meters, serves a blue slope for beginner skiers. On this slope, they will learn all the necessary basics of movement on skis. The second lift is 550 meters long and serves two slopes. One of them is also blue, suitable for beginners, but there is also one red slope for intermediate skiers. Thanks to this distribution of slopes, the resort is suitable for affordable family skiing where you can teach your children to ski while enjoying great skiing on the more demanding red slope.

The total length of the slopes in the resort is 1.1 km. A snow groomer ensures the quality of the slopes, making all slopes perfectly prepared from the morning. Despite the small size of the resort, you will find night lighting here, allowing you to enjoy night skiing. The Ski Kľačno ski resort also caters to cross-country skiing enthusiasts. Long kilometers of cross-country trails are prepared for them. They start directly in the ski resort, which is why all skiers, both downhill skiers and cross-country runners, gather here. Refreshment options are a matter of course in the resort. You will find a snack bar with favorable prices and an added cherry on top: a fireplace where you can even roast sausages or bacon.

During your family winter holiday around Banská Bystrica, be sure not to miss a visit to Ski centrum Kordíky. This pleasant, smaller ski resort is situated in the village of Kordíky, located 12 km west of Banská Bystrica. The resort is intended primarily for beginner skiers or families with children. During your activities on the snow, you will enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding Kremnické vrchy mountains.

From Banská Bystrica, set off by car through the village of Tajov until you see the parking lot of the ski resort on the left side of the village of Kordíky. It is really just a few meters to the ski lift, so you can put on your ski boots right away. The valley station of the lift is at an altitude of 840 m above sea level. On the lift, you will overcome 70 meters of elevation, and then a descent down the groomed slope awaits you. The hill is truly suitable even for the smallest ones.

The season usually starts here in January, and the resort is open as long as snow conditions allow. Night skiing can also be experienced here, as the slope is fully illuminated. The ski resort is also equipped with artificial snowmaking technology. Ski passes can be purchased on site and are bought based on the number of rides. You will certainly appreciate the services of the snack bar, where you can satisfy your thirst and hunger. During lunch, you can comfortably warm up here by the fireplace. The resort's offer also includes the possibility of organizing private events, such as teambuildings and various gatherings. Cross-country skiers will also find something to enjoy, with regularly maintained trails in all directions.
