One of the many stunning places is the Západné Tatry mountains, a range that is often unjustly overlooked.

Nestled directly beneath rocky peaks rising over two thousand meters lies the small village of Jakubovany. You can find it in the Liptov region, just a few kilometers north of Liptovský Hrádok.

Right by the village lies the Jakubovany Studená dolina - Bane ski resort. It will be appreciated especially by less demanding skiers or beginners who prefer quality skiing, breathtaking surroundings, and affordable prices. You will find all of this right in this resort at the foot of the Západné Tatry mountains.

The resort is situated at an altitude of 791 to 896 meters above sea level. Its gentle slope makes it ideal for novice skiers. They can look forward to three blue slopes with a total length of 1,700 meters. Jakubovany relies mainly on natural snow. However, given its location close to the Západné Tatry, snow is rarely an issue here. Two ski lifts, 300 meters and just over 500 meters long, take care of skier transportation. They have sufficient capacity, so you won't stand in line and can ski virtually without interruption.

The best thing about the Jakubovany Studená dolina ski resort, however, is its location, as you ski with views of the entire Nízke Tatry range, as well as the Baranec and Kriváň peaks. Not many resorts can offer you such a view. After a rewarding day on the slopes, you can enjoy refreshments at the nearby bar, which offers everything that belongs to a great skiing experience.

Every visitor will find something to love in Jakubovany. Let's start with the least demanding activities. The picturesque Studená dolina valley begins near the village and is perfect for walks after a good lunch. The Trnovec brook flows through it, and its bubbling water provides a great way to cool off, especially in summer. Jakubovany is a popular starting point for hikes to the Žiarska chatu mountain hut. A comfortable paved road leads here, and near the hut, you will find a symbolic cemetery, while inside the hut, delicious treats await. After recharging your batteries, the fittest hikers can head up to Baníkov or Baranec. These are challenging hikes that all alpine hiking enthusiasts will enjoy. Very few places in Slovakia offer such opportunities for active relaxation as Jakubovany.

The wider surroundings of Jakubovany offer even more. From the village, every interesting spot in Liptov is just a stone's throw away. We present just a few interesting trip ideas, though this is by no means an exhaustive list. In nearby Pribylina, you will find a fairy-tale open-air museum, from Podbanské you can enjoy an adrenaline-pumping rafting trip, and you can recharge at the stylish restaurant located in the castle in Liptovský Hrádok. Nearby lies Liptovský Ján, known primarily for its thermal pool. The region's largest town is Liptovský Mikuláš, home to the modern Tatralandia water park. The drive to Slovakia's largest ski resort, Jasná, takes just a few minutes from Jakubovany. However, there are many other resorts in the area waiting for your visit.

Its high peaks are exceptionally attractive to tourists from all over Slovakia. Climbing peaks such as Baníkov or Ostrý Roháč is a dream for many. And right beneath these peaks, you will find the picturesque Račkova dolina, where you can enjoy great skiing.

The valley is located in Západné Tatry. Since Račkova dolina is a popular recreational resort, access to it is very easy. Just a short distance away is the village of Pribylina, known primarily for its famous open-air museum, featuring a tour of traditional dwellings and crafts of the Liptov region's inhabitants.

The beginning of the valley sits at an altitude of 960 meters above sea level, with the top of the resort reaching 1,100 meters above sea level. The ski resort itself is not among the largest or most famous. And that is precisely a huge asset for skiers. You won't find crowds of people, overcrowded slopes, or lines at the ski lifts here.

A pair of ski lifts and a pair of slopes await you here. They are designed for a wide spectrum of skiers, mainly due to the medium difficulty profile of the trails. Their total length is 1.4 km, and the entire resort is equipped with an artificial snowmaking system.

The foothills of Západné Tatry are interesting for more than just downhill skiers. For cross-country skiers, long kilometers of groomed trails are available.

It goes without saying that the ski resort includes supplementary services such as a refreshment kiosk, ski equipment rental, and a comprehensive range of accommodation services.

The nature here is truly beautiful. In the immediate vicinity, there is no shortage of high-quality services and attractions for everyone. A good tip for a trip around Liptov is, for example, Demänovské jaskyne. This region is exceptionally welcoming to relaxation enthusiasts. Visit the modern aquapark in Bešeňová, where an interesting water slide tower has been added, or head to the most famous aquapark in Slovakia, Tatralandia. A variety of pools, water slides, whirlpools, and water jets are the best thing you can treat yourself to after a great day of skiing.

Further accommodation options in the area are offered by the villages in the foothills, where you can choose from various private rentals or guesthouses.

Račkova dolina is a well-known hiking destination, yet its slopes remain relatively undiscovered. If you enjoy undisturbed skiing in beautiful surroundings, you don't have to look any further.

You will find the Ski centrum Opalisko ski resort just a few kilometres from Liptovský Mikuláš. Transportation will therefore not present the slightest problem. It is situated at the foot of the mountain known as Poludnica.

Ski centrum Opalisko spans an altitude ranging from 710 to 950 metres above sea level. It is located directly above the village of Závažná Poruba. Its slopes face north and therefore consistently offer plenty of snow. Ski centrum Opalisko is a typical family resort suitable for a wide range of skiers. The slopes are equipped with an artificial snowmaking system.

The main advantages of Opalisko are excellent snow conditions and slopes for every type of skier. Children or beginners will certainly appreciate the less steep sections of the slopes or the lift dedicated exclusively to them. It is on the blue slopes where practically anyone can learn to stand on skis, especially under the supervision of professional instructors.

The most demanding skiers will also find their spot here, though most of the trails are best suited for intermediate skiers. Throughout the resort, you will find as many as five slopes. Transportation within the resort is handled by 4 ski lifts and one chairlift. That is more than enough, and all these transport facilities ensure that you spend as little time waiting in lines as possible. After all, you came here to ski.

The total length of the slopes reaches up to 3,160 metres, which is certainly a substantial distance. The longest slope is truly long as well, measuring more than 1.5 km. Even the most experienced skiers will enjoy their time on it.

Opalisko is also extremely popular among cross-country skiing enthusiasts. Those who love wandering through beautiful nature along a white track will guaranteed appreciate up to 30 km of cross-country trails in the surrounding area. Therefore, you should definitely include Závažná Poruba among the candidates for your winter ski getaway.

The immediate surroundings of the resort also offer many interesting excursions. Whether you choose hikes in the area or enjoyable relaxation. You can treat yourself to the latter in Tatralandia, perhaps the most popular water park in Slovakia.

Závažná Poruba offers ample accommodation capacity for all skiers. Here you will find accommodation near the slope in stylish guesthouses or mountain chalets. Affordable accommodation is offered by simple private rentals (priváty), which provide complete privacy. You will enjoy skiing at Opalisko to the fullest. All that is left is to arrive.

You will find the resort near the village of Vyšná Boca. It is located directly in the Nízke Tatry, on the road leading from Liptov to Horehronie. Specifically, you will come across it if you head out from Liptovský Hrádok towards Banská Bystrica via the Čertovica mountain pass.

In the beautiful surroundings of the Nízke Tatry, skiing is an experience for all groups of skiers. At the Bačova Roveň ski resort near Vyšná Boca, you will find slopes of all difficulty levels. Children, intermediate skiers, and experts alike will find something to enjoy. Despite not being among the largest, the resort offers a surprisingly wide range of options.

Interestingly, European Cup races are also held on the slopes of Bačova Roveň. The resort offers a total of three slopes: one blue, one red, and one black. The blue slope is short and intended primarily for children or complete beginners. This is followed by a pair of slopes for intermediate and advanced skiers.

The total length of the slopes in the resort is 3 kilometers. Transport around the resort is provided by 3 ski lifts. The entire resort is equipped with an artificial snowmaking system, though this plays only a supplementary role. The climate of the Nízke Tatry is known for high precipitation. Furthermore, the resort is situated at an altitude of 1,000 to 1,360 meters above sea level.

Bačova Roveň also offers other additional services. Given sufficient interest, night skiing is available at the resort, as it is equipped with artificial lighting. Right on the slope, you will find a snack bar where you can eat or warm up with delicious drinks. The resort offers the option to hire a ski instructor who will teach you or improve your skiing skills. Likewise, you can rent complete ski equipment, so you don't have to burden yourself with heavy skis on the way.

The Nízke Tatry provide plenty of options for wandering through nature. Numerous hiking trails and especially the ridge of the Nízke Tatry attract crowds of tourists. Winter hiking with snowshoes or ski touring equipment also has its own unique charm. Popular destinations in the area include Čertovica, Mýto pod Ďumbierom, and Tále.

Vyšná Boca is an important starting point for hikers, and naturally, thanks to Bačova Roveň, it also attracts skiers. The village offers many private rentals and guesthouses with typical home-cooked meals and welcoming locals. Holidays in Liptov are becoming increasingly popular. Our Slovakia offers an incredible number of attractions and beautiful places that are well worth your attention. And Liptov is one of those greatest gems, not only in summer, but also in winter. If you are looking for a ski resort in Liptov primarily suitable for beginners and casual skiers, you will find your ideal spot just a short distance from Liptovský Mikuláš, the heart of Liptov.

Skicentrum Žiar – Dolinky is located on the edge of the village of Žiar. You will find it approximately 12 km north of Liptovský Mikuláš. The main advantage here is the beautiful setting of central Liptov. The views while skiing are truly breathtaking. On the northern side, the majestic wall of Západné Tatry towers over the region, while from the south, Nízke Tatry complete the stunning panorama. It is a unique setting that you will not easily find anywhere else.

The Žiar – Dolinky ski area is a smaller yet very well-equipped ski resort. Beginners in particular will enjoy it to the fullest, as both slopes in the resort are tailored to them. An appropriate slope length and a comfortable incline are the main prerequisites ensuring that even complete beginners can learn to ski here.

The resort stands at an altitude of 810 to 902 metres above sea level. Thanks to this, the resort does not suffer from a lack of snow, and the ski season usually lasts until the end of March.

In the resort, you will find a pair of slopes. Both are marked in blue, making them a favorite choice mainly for families with children and beginner skiers. One of the slopes measures 400 metres and the second one 450 metres. Together, you have nearly a kilometre of slopes available.

Convenient transport within the resort is provided by a pair of ski lifts, a shorter 200-metre lift and a longer 400-metre one. Regardless of which one you use more, pleasant and affordable skiing awaits you here.

The Žiar – Dolinky ski resort offers one particularly attractive service: night skiing. Both slopes are floodlit. After a generous session of skiing during the day, you can treat yourself to an extra portion in the form of night skiing. Alternatively, you can spend the day at the nearby Tatralandia water park and still hit the slope in the evening.

Among other complementary services, Žiar – Dolinky offers everything you need for a great skiing experience. There is a snack bar serving both hot and cold meals, a ski school, ski equipment rental, as well as cross-country skiing trails in the surrounding area. An interesting feature is the various events regularly organized right on the slope, such as carnivals or discos. The slope in Žiar is simply full of life.

The village of Žiar is also popular among tourists in the summer. One of the reasons is the beautiful Západné Tatry and diverse hiking options. Thanks to this, you will find many private rentals and apartments in the village. There are even several small cottages located right on the slope. In the morning, you wake up, put on your ski boots, and you are ready to ski. Nearby Liptovský Mikuláš offers an even more varied selection of accommodation, where even the most demanding guests will find the right fit. Mainly consisting of hotels and pleasant guesthouses. Exactly what everyone expects from their ideal accommodation awaits them here.

Are you used to arriving at a ski resort only to see a single lift, a slope, a snack bar, and a wooden ticket booth? Upon arriving in Jasná, you will feel as if you are in Disneyland. A multitude of slopes that seem to tower above you rather than lie in front of you. Restaurants, hotels, snack bars, numerous cable cars, and thousands of skiers everywhere. You will not experience such an atmosphere anywhere else but on the northern side of Chopok.

Grandeur. That is exactly what will come to mind at the first sight of this massive ski resort, which boasts 45 km of ski slopes. You will park your car in one of the many high-capacity parking lots and head for your tickets. The ticket offices are the first thing you will come into contact with, and they are located precisely at Biela púť.

In addition to them, you will find a disco, bars, restaurants, and many accommodation facilities here. A variety of hotels and guesthouses are located directly on the Biela púť slope. You can look forward to typical mountain architecture and a pleasant environment. Outside your windows, you will see the cable car moving and crowds of satisfied skiers.

At Biela púť, you will find a chairlift and a blue slope suitable even for complete beginners. If you are standing on skis for the first time, your steps will lead you here first. The slope is regularly maintained, and artificial snowmaking is a matter of course. It is equipped with artificial lighting, so you can start looking forward to night skiing. You walk out of the hotel, put on your skis, and you are already skiing.

At the end of Biela púť, there is an interesting attraction, Twinliner. It is a kind of train that functions just like an elevator. Its carriage can hold up to 50 skiers and will transport you directly to the funitel, the cable car leading to the peak of Chopok. From Biela púť, you can also get to Luková, at an altitude of 1,670 meters above sea level. You will be transported there by a classic 4-seater chairlift, one of many in the entire resort.

Biela púť is the starting point for the entire ski resort, and every skier heading to the slopes of Chopok will pass through it. The slope itself is ideal for beginners; just choose a ski or snowboard school, and professionals will teach you all the secrets of every good skier in a few days.

There is probably no better location to stay for skiing in Jasná. There are many hotels for the demanding directly at Biela púť. If you want to save money and prefer to ski more, choose from the range of tourist hostels. Despite the fact that you will be at an altitude of over 1,100 meters above sea level in the middle of the mountains, you will not be bored. It is only a short walk from the hotels to the bars or to one of the most famous discos. Entertainment in Jasná at Biela púť does not end on the slope.

When someone says: "I'm going skiing in the Tatras," it arouses a degree of envy in almost everyone. Our mini-Alps remain a synonym for prestige and quality skiing. After all, who wouldn't want to carve up perfectly groomed slopes with the highest mountains behind their back? You can treat yourself to such a unique feeling at Štrbské Pleso as well.

Štrbské Pleso needs no introduction. It lies approximately 30 km from the district town of Poprad. You can get here by car, bus, tram, or cog railway. Transport won't be a problem. On the way to Park Snow Štrbské Pleso, you will already be amazed by stunning views of the towering Tatras rock faces. And the best is yet to come.

Štrbské Pleso is a place where natural beauty meets modern technological amenities. Thanks to them, you can ascend from an altitude of 1,351 meters above sea level to over 500 meters higher in just a few minutes. In the resort, 3 chairlifts and 4 ski lifts are at your service. Thanks to a newly built slope, their total length has expanded to nearly 9 kilometers, with the longest descent measuring a full 2.5 kilometers, a figure that some smaller resorts don't reach even when combining all their slopes.

Štrbské Pleso strives to cater to the widest possible range of skiers. Red-marked, intermediate slopes dominate the area. With beginners and families in mind, a new blue slope was also built, making the beauty of the surrounding nature accessible to a broader audience. The ultimate highlight is skiing from Solisko, which offers a fascinating view of Štrbské pleso, Liptovská Mara, Kráľova hoľa, and the entire Podtatranská kotlina basin. A divine view indeed. And behind your back, the Tatras valleys and towering rocky peaks.

Children have been kept in mind too. You can entrust them to instructors at the ski schools. If you bring a snowboard along, you can have fun in the local snowboard park featuring numerous obstacles and jumps. You can try ice climbing on the ice tower, enjoy a romantic walk along the shores of Štrbské pleso, or hike to Vodopád Skok waterfall. Adrenaline lovers don't have to go far; right by the slopes, they can try bungee running, snow rafting, or snow tubing. For the boldest thrill-seekers, we have a special treat: bungee jumping from the large ski jump tower. Thanks to these numerous attractions, an ordinary skiing trip turns into a lifelong memory you will never forget.

Štrbské Pleso is open to everyone. The most demanding guests will certainly choose from one of the luxury hotels equipped with extensive wellness centers or pools. For others, there are affordable hotels and guesthouses with a friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. If you are looking for budget accommodation, you don't need to shy away from Štrbské Pleso. Even here, you will find tourist hostels and private accommodations where you won't spend much. They are beautiful, majestic, and a person recharges plenty of energy in them for the days ahead. But sometimes you also need to blow off that energy somehow. In winter, for example, in the form of skiing. We have a tip for you on a hidden corner of the Nízke Tatry where you can ski to your heart's content.

We are talking about the Iľanovo Košútovo ski resort. It is located near the village of the same name, Iľanovo. Not many people know the tiny resort. The well-known proverb applies here, the darkest place is under the candlestick. Indeed, you will find it just over 3 km from Liptovský Mikuláš, a short distance from the Demänovská dolina. The overwhelming majority of tourists flock precisely to the Demänovská dolina, to the Jasná ski resort.

The ski resort has a favorable northern orientation. Thanks to it, the snow lasts here for a really long time and the ski season does not end after a few weeks of operation. Perhaps the biggest advantage is the breathtaking view. Right in front of you during skiing, the majestic wall of the Západné Tatry will loom, while in the distance the peaks of the Vysoké Tatry will also outline themselves.

You will find one ski slope here, its length is 350 meters. Thus, it can attract primarily undemanding skiers or entire families with children. The slope is made as if for beginners, but also for more advanced skiers. It is marked in red.

In the Iľanovo Košútovo ski resort, you will find a restaurant where they will treat you to a wide variety of Slovak specialties. During skiing, you will thus regain new strength and furthermore enjoy a good meal. In addition, the ski resort is equipped with an artificial snowmaking system, the slope is regularly maintained, and a pleasant surprise is the artificial lighting. You can ski even in the evening, and furthermore, there is the option to pay for private evening skiing.

You cannot ski all the time, and if you decide to take a day off, you have a countless number of activities to choose from. You can head to the most famous water park in Slovakia, Tatralandia near Liptovský Mikuláš with a wide range of water attractions. You also have a choice of a cruise on Liptovská Mara, winter hiking along the ridge of the Nízke Tatry, paragliding from the peak of Chopok, or alternatively another water park, Gino Paradise in Bešeňová. The neighboring Demänovská dolina offers the system of Demänovské jaskyne, which belong to the most beautiful and most visited caves in Slovakia.

Equally wide are the skiing possibilities in the immediate surroundings. In addition to the Iľanovo Košútovo resort, you can set off for skiing to Závažná Poruba, Pavčina Lehota, Jasná, or Liptovský Ján. If you decide on Iľanovo Košútovo, you will certainly look for some accommodation. In the village, you will find a number of private lodgings, and the immediate surroundings also offer guesthouses or modern hotels in nearby Liptovský Mikuláš. Regardless of where you stay, you will reach the slope in a few minutes. If you are looking for an exceptional place with a pleasant atmosphere, Iľanovo is definitely suitable for you.

One of the most popular mountain ranges for skiers in Slovakia is undoubtedly Nízke Tatry. And where is there the most snow if not directly on the ridge of the mountain range? Here, for example, you can take a look at the Čertovica pass, which spreads at an altitude of up to 1,238 meters above sea level.

Where is the Čertovica pass located? It forms a natural connection between Liptov and Horehronie. A well-known road passes through it, connecting Liptovský Hrádok with Brezno. An excellent location right on the ridge of one of our highest mountain ranges predestines Čertovica to be one of the snow-richest resorts.

There are many slopes at Čertovica, but we will focus on the Ski resort Čertovica STIV. The ski resort is intended for less demanding skiers who are primarily looking for peace and affordable skiing. Despite the fact that the total length of the slopes is only approximately 1 km, all groups of skiers will come into their own here. The resort is served by a pair of ski lifts. The shorter one serves complete beginners; this slope is marked in blue. It is intended for beginners or children.

The longer lift offers wide opportunities for sports activities for a variety of skiers. The central slope is marked in red, so intermediate skiers will come into their own on it. Čertovica is equally suitable for lovers of off-piste skiing. A freeride zone runs parallel to the central slope here.

Thanks to the fact that the Ski stredisko Čertovica STIV ski resort is located at a high altitude ranging between 1,238 – 1,381 meters above sea level, it cannot complain about a lack of snow. And if there happens to be a bit less snow, count on a well-thought-out artificial snowmaking system at Čertovica that will take care of the snow cover throughout the winter.

Čertovica STIV is also inclined towards day-trippers or those who want to hit the slope for just a few hours. A ski school, regularly groomed slopes, and refreshment options at a snack bar are a matter of course at the resort.

If you decide to visit, you can enjoy Čertovica in ways other than just on skis. The attractive environment of Nízke Tatry mainly attracts hikers. Right along the ridge of the mountain range, you can head east towards Kráľova hoľa or west towards Ďumbier, for example. Nízke Tatry are also known for the occurrence of beautiful caves; true adventurers can visit Jaskyňa Mŕtvych netopierov, for instance.

This important mountain resort is prepared for an influx of tourists throughout the entire year. Therefore, it provides them with plenty of accommodation capacities, such as guesthouses, apartments, private rooms, or chalets in one of the villages below the Čertovica pass. Perfect skiing does not have to cost an entire paycheck. An example is the Ski stredisko Čertovica STIV, which is located in an attractive setting and offers skiing at a reasonable price.

The Nízke Tatry attract crowds of tourists like a magnet, and in winter, skiers as well. This is well-deserved; it is a mountain range in a beautiful environment offering top-class services. If you want to explore the Nízke Tatry on skis, specifically their eastern part, pay a visit to Čertovica.

Čertovica lies directly on the ridge of the Nízke Tatry. You do not have to worry about having to wander down a deserted road somewhere in the forest. Čertovica is located directly on the main road connecting the Liptov and Horehronie regions. You can reach it from Brezno or Liptovský Hrádok. It is situated in a forest environment, while its higher parts are characterized by dwarf pine. You will feel as if you are in truly big mountains.

The ski slopes are located right by the main road, just a short walk from your parked car. The ski resort extends at an altitude of 900 to 1,145 meters above sea level on the northern slopes of Čertova svadba. Northern orientation, relatively high altitude, and on top of that, the climatic conditions of the Nízke Tatry. Only one thing follows from this: plenty of snow.

The Čertovica ski resort is one of the larger resorts. It should be said that beginner skiers should look elsewhere instead. You will find only a single blue, least demanding slope here. The other slopes are intended for intermediate and advanced skiers who will truly enjoy themselves here. They will find approximately 12 km of slopes, 5 ski lifts, and a variety of hills. These are primarily red, meaning they are intended for the widest range of intermediate skiers. However, even the best skiers will find plenty to enjoy, with several black sections prepared for them.

The Čertovica ski resort offers skiing throughout the entire winter. The snow cover remains on its slopes from mid-December until mid-April. The artificial snowmaking system significantly helps with this as well. You won't wait in long lines either, as the capacity of the resort is more than 3,000 skiers per hour.

In Čertovica, you will enjoy yourself in ways other than just on skis. Try it on a snowboard or alpine touring skis (skialp). You can rent these at the equipment rental shop and try out a hike. Given its location on the ridge of the Nízke Tatry, you could not choose a better place. Likewise, the cross-country skiing trails in the area with beautiful views are extremely popular. Čertovica is also popular with hikers. A trip to Ďumbier is an unforgettable experience with breathtaking views of the entire Liptov and Horehronie regions and, of course, the Vysoké Tatry.

Čertovica offers various accommodation options. You will find mountain huts, wooden chalets, and guesthouses here, all in a beautiful environment. Alternatively, you can choose accommodation in the nearby village of Vyšná Boca, where there are plenty of options for affordable accommodation. Do you love winter and skiing in particular? In that case, you have almost certainly heard of Jasná. A ski resort where your dreams of the perfect ski holiday become reality. Tens of kilometers of slopes, ski lifts, and cable cars on par with the Alps. You definitely shouldn't miss out on such an experience.

A main road leads to Jasná, alongside which there are several large park-and-ride car parks. Each of them is connected to a chairlift, so it doesn't matter where you park. You can enjoy the entire resort from any car park. If you don't feel like going all the way to the top, you can stop in the area called Záhradky.

Get out of the car, put on your ski boots, step into your skis, and head straight to the slopes. Jasná is exceptional because it offers long kilometers of trails of all difficulty levels. If you are an intermediate skier, you will find plenty to enjoy in Záhradky. Alternatively, you can warm up and stretch your muscles here before tackling steeper slopes. In Záhradky, you will mostly find medium-difficulty (red) slopes, but there is also a blue, least demanding trail.

One ski lift and two modern chairlifts lead directly from Záhradky. Equipment with windshield covers protecting against the wind is taken for granted. One of the chairlifts leads to Rovná hoľa, a quieter yet even more beautiful corner of Jasná. The second one takes you directly into the heart of the resort, to Priehyba, at an altitude of 1,342 meters above sea level. This is where the famous funitel funicular/cable car is located, leading all the way to the top of Chopok. From Záhradky, you can reach an elevation of approximately 2,000 meters above sea level with just a single transfer. Another chairlift runs above Záhradky, coming from the previous park-and-ride car park at Lúčky.

If you head from Záhradky to Rovná hoľa, you have a choice of two slopes to ski back down. Intermediate skiers will choose the red one, and beginners the blue one. If that isn't enough for you, you can extend your descent all the way to Lúčky. The cable car to Priehyba is for more demanding skiers. From there, you can return to Záhradky via either two red slopes or one black slope for the most experienced skiers.

Down at the bottom of the slopes, a full range of facilities awaits you: snack bars, a restaurant, a rental shop, a ski school, and a sports clothing store. In short, complete equipment and services. And remember, Záhradky is just an entry point to the resort center, where even more awaits you.

It is the Žiarce ski resort in the village of Pavčina Lehota. It offers a family atmosphere, a welcoming approach, and quality skiing at good prices. Where can you find it? Just a few kilometres south of Liptovský Mikuláš, near the road leading into Demänovská dolina. The resort lies on the edge of the village of Pavčina Lehota and offers views across a large part of Liptov.

You may have already heard of Pavčina Lehota. It is home to the longest mountain bobsleigh track in Slovakia, which attracts tourists mainly during the summer. In winter, the slopes above Pavčina Lehota become a sought-after ski resort.

The ski resort is located at an altitude ranging from 760 to 907 metres above sea level. The best thing about the Žiarce resort is the fact that it offers skiing for all difficulty levels. Here you will find 4 ski lifts, thanks to which you can forget about long lines and ski from morning to evening almost without a break.

The total length of the ski slopes is 1,130 metres. These are divided among all difficulty levels. In the lower section, there are two lifts intended exclusively for beginners. Easy blue slopes are available for them, where they can learn their first metres on skis under the supervision of ski instructors.

For everyone else, two additional lifts are available. The shorter one also offers the option of a descent along a blue slope, while the longer one is for more experienced skiers. The upper part of this slope is even designated black and, thanks to its incline, presents a challenge even for seasoned skiers.

Naturally, in the ski resort you will find a snack bar, a ski school, artificial snowmaking, and on certain days of the week, you even have the option of night skiing. What could be better after a good dinner than a few more hours of skiing on the slope?
