The hotel is located in the center of Brezno, in the heart of the picturesque Horehronie region. We recommend our guests to explore the Low Tatras, where they can conquer peaks such as Chopok or Ďumbier, or enjoy walks through beautiful valleys. A visit to the Forestry Open-Air Museum in Čierny Balog, with its historic forest railway, is also a great trip. Nature lovers will surely appreciate the Bystrianska Cave, the largest in the Horehronie area. In winter, skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the resorts of Tále and Mýto pod Ďumbierom, while in summer, cycling routes like the Horehronie Cycle Route are worth trying. Awesome region: ski, hiking, wellness, delicios food.

The town was cozy, quiet and picturesque, as we wished. It has a small shop (we ended up shopping groceries in Banska Bystrica though), a tiny playground a main square with horloge, a restaurant and a “Historic school” offering some activities for older kids. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and offers many possibilities for easy hikes.

We like to be in nature and this was a really nice detox of city life. It was super calm. We liked it a lot. Banska Bystrica is 15 minutes by car. So very doable.
