WHAT WE RECOMMEND TO VISIT During your stay, we recommend visiting the most beautiful places nearby: Chopok and Jasná – skiing, cable cars, hiking and stunning views all year round Tále – perfect for walks, relaxation, golf and peaceful nature Bystrá Cave – beautiful stalactite cave, great for families and rainy days Mýto pod Ďumbierom – skiing, bike park and family activities Ďumbier – the highest peak of the Low Tatras with amazing views Dedečkova chata – a popular mountain hut for hiking and relaxing Pohanské – giant bench – a unique viewpoint and photo spot Squirrel meadow – a unique place where you can see ground squirrels up close (great for kids) Car museum – ideal for families and car enthusiasts Banská Bystrica – historic city centre, restaurants and shopping All these places are within a short distance from our accommodation. The hotel is located in the center of Brezno, in the heart of the picturesque Horehronie region. We recommend our guests to explore the Low Tatras, where they can conquer peaks such as Chopok or Ďumbier, or enjoy walks through beautiful valleys. A visit to the Forestry Open-Air Museum in Čierny Balog, with its historic forest railway, is also a great trip. Nature lovers will surely appreciate the Bystrianska Cave, the largest in the Horehronie area. In winter, skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the resorts of Tále and Mýto pod Ďumbierom, while in summer, cycling routes like the Horehronie Cycle Route are worth trying. If you are looking for relaxation, you will find wellness centers nearby, as well as opportunities for horse riding or mushroom picking in the local forests. The town was cozy, quiet and picturesque, as we wished. It has a small shop (we ended up shopping groceries in Banska Bystrica though), a tiny playground a main square with horloge, a restaurant and a “Historic school” offering some activities for older kids. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and offers many possibilities for easy hikes.

We like to be in nature and this was a really nice detox of city life. It was super calm. We liked it a lot. Banska Bystrica is 15 minutes by car. So very doable.

Beautiful and spaceous house with all kind of equipments and facilities. Lots of rooms and bathrooms, huge wellness area. Amazing view from the living room and terasse. Very kind and helpful staff.

chatu odporúčam(e) všetkými desiatimi. Naozaj veľmi čistá, nová, dobre vybavená chata, nemáme čo vytknúť. Keď budú hotové všetky chaty na okolo, bude to naozaj krásna chatová lokalita. Majiteľ je veľmi milý, reagoval hneď, super komunikácia. Ďakujeme za krásny víkend

Great location, access and parking. Spacious rooms, huge living room with an amazing sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and coffee mashine. Outside BBQ and backyard covered and uncovered area. Playground for kids. This place has it all. Excellent communication with the host. Highly recommended! Izby veľké, kuchyňa plne vybavená. Super poloha, prístup a parkovanie. Priestranne izby, obrovska obyvacka s velkym rozkladacim gaucom, paradne vybavena kuchyna aj s myčkou a presso strojom. Vonku gril, terasa, dvor aj kryte posedenie. Preliezky pre deti, proste vsetko co sa len da predstavit. Tiez velmi dobra komunikacia s majitelkou. Odporucame!

We are a family with s small child (2yrs old) and were staying in this cottage (or rather a house) together with a friend. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, the garden with sun beds and an the outdoor bathtub, and the espresso machine, of course. The main bedroom on the ground floor was cool and spacious, so nice to sleep on hot days. The other bedroom was upstairs. The Wi-Fi also worked well (this was important especially, because the cell phone coverage was poor around the house). Our son also found some interesting toys to play with and books to “read”. The landlord was present at our arrival to welcome us and showed us everything. We did not really miss anything (maybe something to whip cream, but that also tells you that the place was really well equipped, since everything else was there).
