The location is absolutely superb. Demänovská Dolina is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, with plenty of opportunities for walking, sightseeing and enjoying the beautiful Slovak countryside. It is also an excellent base for exploring the Low Tatras.

Fresh mountain air - peaceful rural atmosphere - rich offer of services and activities The village of Važec (Liptovský Mikuláš district) is located in the eastern part of the Liptov Basin in the White Váh Valley. The altitude in the center of the village is 792 m above sea level. The surroundings of Važec were inhabited as early as the Stone Age, as documented by finds in the Slamenna locality; a bronze knife found on the banks of the Váh in the center of the village, dating back to the Hallstatt culture, is somewhat younger. In summer, it traditionally offers hiking opportunities in the High Tatras, Roháče, Belianky, Low Tatras, but the Slovak Paradise is also nearby. In winter, it is an ideal starting point for skiers and cross-country skiers in the ski areas in the High Tatras (Štrbské Pleso: approximately 20 minutes by car), the Low Tatras (Jasná Ski Resort: approximately 40 minutes by car), or in Belianky (Bachledka Ski & Sun Ski Resort: approximately 50 minutes by car). Cross-country skiers will also find their place directly behind the village in Kozé vrchy, in Mengusovce, in Lopušná dolina and of course in Štrbské pleso. Smaller ski resorts nearby: Snowpark Lučivná (approx. 10 km), Lopušná dolina. The preserved forests of Kozé Chrbty above Važcom will tempt you to go mushroom picking and walk along the tangle of forest paths, also created for runners or cyclists. If you are a keen cyclist, you will be delighted by the cycle paths leading directly from Važec in various directions: to the Čierny Váh hydroelectric power plant, from where you will have breathtaking views of Horný Liptov and the Tatras, you can also take the cycle path to Štrba, but also to the Slovak Paradise and Horehron. In case of favorable conditions, there are groomed trails for cross-country skiers in the area. In the surrounding resorts, you can use the services of a ski school and kindergarten, as well as ski equipment rentals.

The village is located right next to Liptovský Mikuláš at the foot of the Low Tatras in the lap of beautiful nature with magnificient views of the mountains. In the village at the foot of Mount Poludnica there is a top ski resort Opalisko with excellent prices. 19km from the village is the largest ski resort Jasná. In winter you can go cross-country skiing, ice skating. Directly in the village is wellness. From the village you can go hiking to the Low, Western and High Tatras, to caves, on scooters from Žiarska cottage, cycling, mushrooming, rafting in wild water, bathing in thermal pools and springs with healing water. Aquapark Tatralandia and Liptovská Mara are only 10km away. Near the village in Liptovsky Mikulas is our well -known canoeist water complex where the winners train.

The village of Pavčina Lehota, where you can find the cottage Maroš, is located near the northern slopes of the Low Tatras, right at the entrance to the famous Demänovská valley. If you want to spend your time right in Pavčina Lehota, in the vicinity of the apartment house Vila Maroš, you will not be bored. Here you will find, among other things, the attractive project of the FUN PARK Žiarce mountain summer bobsleigh track, operating from April to October. It is the first railway of its kind in Slovakia. Modern technologies enable the ultimate driving experience. You can get to the top using the ski lift. You will go down on special bobsleds along a unique aluminum profile at a speed of up to 45 km/h.
