Donovaly is one of the most prestigious mountain destinations in Slovakia, offering a unique combination of nature, tranquility, and year-round outdoor activities. Located between the Low Tatras and the Veľká Fatra mountains, it provides stunning scenery, fresh mountain air, and an exceptional atmosphere. In winter, the Park Snow Donovaly resort offers excellent skiing conditions, well-maintained cross-country trails, and a wide range of services for families as well as more demanding guests. During the summer, the area is ideal for hiking, cycling, and relaxing in peaceful mountain surroundings. Donovaly stands out for its calm atmosphere, easy accessibility, and high-quality infrastructure, including restaurants, wellness centers, and premium leisure experiences.

The village of Košťany nad Turcom ranks among the top 10 towns and villages in the Turiec region. It offers essential services such as a medical center with a doctor for both children and adults, a pharmacy, a primary school with nine grades, a kindergarten, grocery stores, two pensions with restaurants, a confectionery, and excellent transport connections to Martin.

The location is great, close enough for hiking, with great view, with easy way to the village center with restaurants and other activities

The town is cozy, quiet and picturesque. Just as we wished. It has a small playground, a shop (we ended up shopping groceries in Banska Bystrica though), a “Historic School” offering some activities for older kids and plenty of hiking in beautiful scenery.

Toto leto sme mali v Kralikiach veľmi príjemný pobyt. Boli sme s deťmi a vnúčatami a Chata Zuzanka bola pre našu rodinu ideálnym domom.

The location is exactly as it is advertised, or even better if I can say, place was neat, with all listed adjustments and equipment. It is a perfect place to visit as a group of people to have private space to spend time together - it is quiet, spacious, and sauna, jacuzzi and playing room are just perfect complementations! Worth noticing that the communication in general and ease of contact with owner are great, always responding fast clarifying or answering the questions!

It was clean, the kitchen is well-equipped. And it lies in a beautiful, silent valley, next to a stream. Ideal accomodation for hikers

We are a family with s small child (2yrs old) and were staying in this cottage (or rather a house) together with a friend. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, the garden with sun beds and an the outdoor bathtub, and the espresso machine, of course. The main bedroom on the ground floor was cool and spacious, so nice to sleep on hot days. The other bedroom was upstairs. The Wi-Fi also worked well (this was important especially, because the cell phone coverage was poor around the house). Our son also found some interesting toys to play with and books to “read”. The landlord was present at our arrival to welcome us and showed us everything. We did not really miss anything (maybe something to whip cream, but that also tells you that the place was really well equipped, since everything else was there).
