Accommodation Kúpele Lúčky

Kúpele Lúčky spa is located in the village of the same name, in the picturesque area below the Tatras, in the Liptov region. It is situated where the Ráztočná dolina valley meets the Liptovská kotlina basin, beneath the majestic Chočské vrchy mountains. A quiet environment full of greenery, consisting mainly of spruce forests, clean air, and the healing power of a natural mineral spring—this is a great combination for which visitors from all over Slovakia travel here. The spa helps patients with indicated oncological diseases, digestive system diseases, metabolic and endocrine gland disorders, non-tuberculous respiratory diseases, nervous system diseases, musculoskeletal system diseases, gynecological diseases, and occupational diseases.

The history of Kúpele Lúčky dates back to 1712. The spa industry built upon folk healing. Life at the springs in Lúčky began to flourish around 1760. To provide entertainment alongside treatment, an inn with a stable was built here. In 1864, Lúčky was rebuilt into a spa house. In 1872, the spa gained a new owner, who ensured its comprehensive reconstruction. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Kúpele Lúčky was visited by international clientele from the USA, Romania, Bohemia, Tsarist Russia, Vienna, and Budapest. In 1912, it applied for inclusion in the list of medicinal spas of the Kingdom of Hungary.

After World War II, the spa was nationalized. The 1960s were marked by the beginning of new construction. Despite building new beds, their number was still insufficient due to enormous interest in treatment. Therefore, new spa houses, including social areas, were added. The balneotherapy department received its current form after a reconstruction in 1998. The modern AQUA – VITAL Park Lúčky was built in 2008.

To provide high-quality treatment, a qualified team is needed in addition to the gift of nature in the form of a mineral spring. Kúpele Lúčky has a roster of true experts, including doctors, nurses, and other staff. The individual medical procedures will take care of the rest. Balneotherapy is suitably complemented by tub baths in mineral carbonated water, mineral pearl baths, whirlpool baths, and additive mineral baths. Paraffin and peat—peloids—are used for wraps. The massage offer consists of classic, underwater, reflex, hot stone, honey, and bamboo massages, as well as whirlpool massages, Scotch showers, and lymph drainage. Electrotherapy is also utilized in Lúčky. Electrotherapy consists of diathermy, diatron, diadynamic currents, endomed, TENS, magnetotherapy, biolaser, therapeutic ultrasound, and galvanotherapy. Light therapy uses bioptron, mountain sun, sanotherm, and solux. Other procedures include intrador, physical education, swimming in the pool, psychorelaxation, autotraction, inhalation, oxygen therapy, and vitamin therapy. The spa also offers premium beauty treatments using natural cosmetics.

When you see someone sitting on a bench under wooden wings, between the cheerful duo of Maťko and Kubko, do not disturb them. They have gathered internal courage and sat on the Lavička vďaky a prianí (Bench of Gratitude and Wishes). This is a place intended for clearing one's thoughts. It is a space where a person can, in their mind or aloud, express their deepest wishes and give the universe the opportunity to grant them. The bravest write them on paper and insert them into the slot on the wing. The bench is a quiet companion that will listen to your troubles. Relieve your soul; tell it what is bothering you. Even this can significantly contribute to your treatment. If you have come to the spa, you probably need help with something. It may be your health that needs improvement. The energy you need to recharge. The soul you need to heal. Or the internal sadness you need to process.

A visit to the wellness center is very popular. AQUA – VITAL Park offers an indoor pool with warm, mineral, healing water. The outdoor pools feature many attractions. Counter-currents, a water mushroom, massage jets, water spouts, and air loungers—you can try all of this in the outdoor recreational pool. There is also a warm seated pool nearby, offering relaxation in healing water full of minerals. Leisure attractions such as a children's playground and a volleyball court are a matter of course. In addition to the pools, it is worth entering the sauna world. What you try inside is up to you. The offer includes a Finnish sauna, menthol sauna, tepidarium, Kneipp bath, and a Roman bath containing natural inhalation essences. You will then be cooled down by a turbo shower or a rain shower. Another wellness area is located in Dependance Liptov. Try the saltwater jacuzzi, saunas (Finnish, infra), and cool off in a tub. Thirdly, you can also take advantage of the wet and dry salt cave. Lie down, close your eyes, listen to relaxing music, and breathe deeply.

You can spend your free time between individual procedures with pleasant seating in the café. It offers tasty snacks and interesting refreshments. Another option is to work out in the fitness center, which offers various machines and sports equipment. The view of the beautiful surrounding nature will constantly recharge your energy during exercise. The spa also offers other additional services that you will surely appreciate.
