Great credit for the construction goes to the land association members from Veľký Slavkov, who leased the land to him for a symbolic price, donated the wood needed for building the sanatorium, and over time sold him additional land at favorable prices. Upon starting the excavation work in 1874, the discovery of a silver coin from the times of Marcus Aurelius and later a metallurgical workshop site came as a surprise. After World War II, the constructed sanatorium became a state spa, operating as a joint-stock company since 1995. Gradually, hotels were renovated, a swimming pool was added, and individual medical procedures were modernized.
