Lúčanský vodopád
Lúčanský vodopád is located in the village of the same name, Lúčky, in the Liptov region, in the Ružomberok district. This impressive watercourse is the pride of the village and attracts tourists from far and wide. It is accessible by car, which is why it is frequently visited by families with children.
With its height of 13 meters, Lúčanský vodopád has been declared a national natural monument. It is cascading in nature, and it is fed by the Lúčianka stream, also called Teplianka. Although this stream is not particularly extraordinary, during the snowmelt period or heavy rainfall, it brings so much water that the roar of the waterfall can be heard from afar.
By Lúčanský vodopád, you will find a smaller park with benches for sitting and resting. If you want to view the waterfall from all sides, take the stairs leading along the water, and in addition to the views, you will also discover an educational trail. It is short, but you will learn interesting facts about the surrounding fauna and flora here.
