Waterfalls Bátovce

When you continue approximately 300 m north of the Nová Baňa city district of Stará Huta, you will come across one of the most massive and beautiful waterfalls of the Central Slovakian volcanics. Yes, we are talking about Starohutský vodopád, a national natural monument of Slovakia. The water of the local Sklený potok stream falls at an altitude of 505 m above sea level, with the total height of the waterfall being 5 m. The path to it is easy and attractive in every season.

You can handle the walk to the waterfall even with smaller children. At the end of the settlement of Stará Huta, you will pass a signpost that will lead you past a few houses onto a forest path. While walking, you will be accompanied by the gurgling sound of the stream flowing from the direction of the waterfall you are heading toward. Its surroundings are beautiful, set in a valley.
